I was ask to share the supply needed to put together two ef motors. I will do my best to share it.
1) You will need two 9-18VDC Hobby Motors. You can pick this up at Radio Shack. Here is a link to what it looks like. www.radioshack.com/product/index.jsp?productId=2102827
2) You will need two AC DC ADAPTERS. I like this one on ebay; due to it has a switch on it that makes your motor spin the other way around too. When it spins the other way, it makes the motor vibrate another way to give you double the amount of options to pick for how your board runs. Here is the link: www.ebay.com/itm/UNIVERSAL-AC-DC-ADAPTER-1-5V-3V-4-5V-6V-9V-12V-500mA-6P-/330602218135?pt=Travel_Adapters_Converters&hash=item4cf96d8297
NOTE: If this ebay item does not show up any more, then look for a "Trisonic Universal AC DC Adapter" with the 1-5V-3V-4-5V-6V-9V-12V switch on it.
3) JB Weld. Make sure you get the JB weld that sets in 6 - 8 minutes, rather than over night. The over night will be black and red. Do not get that one. JB weld is located in the car supply section of the store you go too. Here is a link to the right one: www.walmart.com/ip/J-B-Weld-Cold-Weld-Compounds-j-b-kwik-set-twin-tubeadhesive/19283656
4) Two sided tape. The thicker two sided tape. Link: www.walmart.com/ip/Symmetry-1-x-72-Mount-Tape-Roll/17236952
5) Flat washers. I pick up some flat washers at work when I put Ali's motors together. So I am not sure what size. You would have to look at Ali's board to get the right size.
The key to making this ef motor run your board the way you like it is the right size flat washer along with the right amount of JB weld to hold the flat washer at the end of the motor.
I had to go back to Ali's house to add more jb weld on the motor to make it run stronger. The more jb weld will make it run stronger. To much JB weld or to big of a flat washer will make the board bounce to much.
You will have to play with how much jb weld you put on. If you put to much on, then just cut some off and turn the board back on.
Here is how you use the two sided tape. As you can see on Ali's board, I do not have the motors in a box. I have them right on the board. For you will not have metel on metel, you will want to put the two sided tape between the motor and metel field. Make sure you put some JB weld around the sides of the two sided tape so that the jb weld is ALSO holding the motor to the metel field too. The two sided tape by itself is not strong enough to hold the motor to the metel field when it is running.
I hope this helps. If you have any questions, feel free to reply to this post for I can answer your questions.
Again, have a great ef season!!
